Close behind is the 2027 NFL champion market, with $190,070,336 traded.
Notably, three of the top six markets are focused on the upcoming 2028 election, while a closely watched mayoral race is set to conclude in just two weeks.
2028 Democratic nominee: $242.6 million
This event spans 52 individual markets. Gavin Newsom sits at 17% and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez at 14%. The lead has moved. Kalshi's newsroom reported in August that Ocasio-Cortez had taken a narrow lead after she told a TV host, "I haven't ruled out the possibility". Jon Ossoff is priced at 13% on Kalshi's market page, so the top names sit within a few points of each other.
2028 Republican nominee: $69.6 million
The Republican nominee event has $69,648,605 across 43 markets. JD Vance is at 42% and Marco Rubio at 19%.
2028 presidential winner: $76.4 million
The winner market has $76,419,597 across 32 markets. Vance is at 22%, Gavin Newsom at 11%, and Ossoff at 9%.
Los Angeles mayor: $103.4 million
The Los Angeles mayor market has $103,466,996 traded across two markets, and the vote is on Nov. 3. Nithya Raman is at 52% and Karen Bass at 49%.
Raman entered the race at the last minute in February 2026, and the June 2 primary produced no majority winner. Covers reported that her Kalshi price went from 37% to 54% in about three weeks, after a Berkeley IGS poll showed her dominating among Latino voters.
Pro baseball champion: $130.7 million
Pro Baseball Champion has three markets. Milwaukee is at 61% and Tampa Bay at 31%.
The Brewers swept the Dodgers in the NLCS, their first World Series trip since 1982. ESPN noted they began the season at 35-1 to win the title. Sports Illustrated reported that the Rays won Games 4 and 5 of the ALCS against Cleveland, which left them one win from the Series.
2027 NFL champion: $190 million
The NFL event has 32 markets, one per team. The 49ers (5-0) are at 16%, KC Chiefs at 11% and the Bills (5-1) at 10%.
The 49ers are moved from 11% to 15% on Kalshi after their 32-29 win over Seattle in Week 5. Buffalo beat the Rams in overtime that week. Super Bowl LXI is set for Feb. 14, 2027, in Inglewood, California.
What to watch next
The Los Angeles mayor market resolves first. Voters decide the race on Nov. 3, and Raman and Bass are three points apart on Kalshi, so the prices could move sharply once the first results come in.
The baseball market closes when the World Series ends. Milwaukee is the favorite at 61%. Super Bowl LXI is set for Feb. 14, 2027, in Inglewood, California, and the NFL market is tied to that title.
The three 2028 markets will stay open for years. Their volume totals will keep growing without a result, so the order of this list could change well before any candidate is chosen.
