GREEN MORNING (GM), a meme coin on BNB Chain, rose more than 800% in a brief move on Nov. 6, according to CoinGecko data. The jump followed a meme exchange on X between Elon Musk and Binance co-founder Changpeng Zhao, known as CZ. Bitcoin was down about 5.9% over 24 hours, near $75,694, at the time.
How the exchange played out
Dogecoin co-creator Billy Markus posted a "good morning" style check on the market. Musk replied with no text, only a red-tinted version of a familiar CZ meme image. Most readers took it as a jab at the red market.

CZ responded with the well-known "I took an arrow to the knee" meme from the game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. OKX CEO Star Xu also joked that "one richest man is jealous of another, so he 'disses' the richest man again."

Binance co-CEO Yi He then reposted Musk's meme with the red and blue pill scene from The Matrix and asked followers which pill they would choose.

The sparring has a recent backstory. After the roughly $6.3 billion Binance hack last month, Musk reacted with emojis. CZ asked him to stop trolling and noted Binance's SpaceX-related stake.
The Skyrim line is one of gaming's most repeated jokes. A guard says he used to be an adventurer until he took an arrow to the knee. It has circulated as a meme for more than a decade and is a standard way of shrugging off a setback.
What the token did
GM is a BEP-20 token with no utility, staking or roadmap. It launched within seconds of CZ posting a green-tinted selfie captioned "Soon..." on Sept. 29. Traders read the green image and the crypto greeting "GM" as "Green Morning." The contract address is 0x13920fe6467e9e3c852b8d365a036c995f0f7777.

Early figures put the market cap at $2.72 million, with a 24-hour trading volume of $1.6 million. The numbers kept changing through the day. GMGN data later showed the market cap above $5.84 million and a gain of more than 800% on the day.
Why a meme can move a small token
Nothing in the posts mentioned GM. Traders linked the rally to the Green Morning theme, and Musk's reply gave low-cap tokens a reason to trade. The pattern is familiar. A token with a market cap of a few million dollars needs only a small amount of buying to move sharply, and the same thinness makes a drop equally quick.
GM was not the only CZ-themed token to rise on a social media cue, and many that spiked in the past have returned to earlier levels within days. GM itself fell for a month after its October peak.
Neither Musk nor CZ has promoted the token. Binance has not said it is involved. Anyone looking at the contract should check liquidity and holder concentration first, because tokens with a few large wallets can be sold down quickly. Prices on these coins can change in minutes, so any figure quoted here may already be out of date.
